Detail, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul, South Korea. Officially inaugurated on March 21, 2014, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza has soon established itself as the centerpiece of South Korea's fashion hub and a popular tourist destination in Seoul. Also called the DDP, it was created by Iraqi British architect Zaha Hadid and Korean Studio Samoo with a neofuturistic design characterized by the "powerful, curving forms of elongated structures".
