DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (April 11, 2021) – Yeoman 1st Class Emmanuel McKissick, the leading petty officer assigned to Naval Support Facility headquarters administration Diego Garcia, walks along the path during the Bataan Memorial March April 11, 2021. and Service members participated in an 11 mile march along the beaches and through the jungles of Diego Garcia to commemorate the Bataan Death March that took place in the Philippines in April 1942 where 76,000 prisoners of war consisting of 66,000 Filipinos and 10,000 Americans were forced to walk 66 miles.
