An Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) toll in Singapore, along South Bridge Road after Elgin Bridge, for vehicles entering the Central Area

The Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system is an electronic toll collection scheme adopted in Singapore to manage traffic by way of road pricing. In total there are about 78 ERP gantries, split into 3 different traffic areas, expressway, arterial roads & city cordons. Singapore was the first city in the world to implement a system for congestion pricing, which has inspired other cities to adopt a similar system, London's Congestion Charge Zone (CCZ) & Stockholm's congestion tax.
