Wer warat is one of the hereditary traditions of the Kei people to catch fish together. Residents use a rope wrapped around the yellow leaves of a coconut tree and then spread it in the middle of the sea. The rope is used to collect fish. Then all the residents, especially the children and the men, pulled the rope towards the beach and the fish entered the net that had been prepared.
