From time to time we have had inquiries as towhether the Society has any distinctive medal orbadge, and in many cases there has been a expressed desire for something of the sort,which might be worn on the person as an open de-claration of principles. Latterly these applicationshave been so numerous that we have been temptedto consider the matter from the practical standpoint,and have decided on a design which we publish be-low. It is a brooch pin in coin silver, with raised lettersand monogram as in the design, the cost, fifty The preliminary costs of preparing the die, etc.,would be something considerable, and we should notfeel justified in undertaking it unless assured that therewould be something like a general demand for thebad-e. All our readers who are in favor of the newdeparture are consequently invited to send in theirapplications, and local secretaries are solicited to as-certain the wishes of such of their members as are .easily accessible.
