Fig. 154.âTo show the pointed bUl. The members of this genus are for the most part small and brightly coloured birds. The bill is pointedj the width at the base being-about half the length of the exposed culmen. The wing is rounded, the second primary longest, and the first is about equal in length to the third. The tail is square at the tip and almost two- thirds the length of the wing. The tarsus is about half the length of the tail and about twice the length of the exposed culmen.
