The Old Man of Storr


The Old Man of Storr part of the Trotternish escarpment which lies between Portree and Staffin in North East Skye. For sense of scale this pinnacle is 165 feet high - if you look carefully there is a man in blue jeans and a red top standing at the edge of the the shadowed area at the foot of the pinnacle (centre right). The Old Man was first climbed in 1955 by Don Whillians.
