Lock converted to percussion with the lock plate stamped "S" in a circle. Defective mechanism. Massive, blackened full stock with iron furniture. There is a toothed hook riveted on the forearm, an iron plate set into the left side engraved with the number "1885", and a support clamp screwed into the butt stock.
