The track mileage of the British Columbia company comprises 13miles in Victoria and 35 miles in Vancouver and New interurban line is 12 miles long and an hourly service is main-tained. The Vancouver car equipment consists of about 60 passengermotor cars, 2 freight motor cars, 4 flat cars, 2 construction carsand 2 train can. The passenger cars for intcrurban service arc 48ft long over all, with 38-fl. bodies, and those for city service aresingle truck cars with 23-ft. bodies and double truck cars with The standard trucki are Brill 27 for the intcrurban, Brill 27-G for double truck city cars and Brill Ji-E for single truckcity cars. The cars used in city service have bodies of two types; thoseoperated on single track routes are semi-convertible, while thoseon double track routes have one entire side rciuovable. In summeropen cars are desirable, but some adequate protection for passen-gers in case of sudden showers, which are frequent, is necessary;also the tracks arc so close that screens are needed on the innerside.
