Mars rover in University Rover Challenge, Utah, USA

Mars rover developed by the Technical University of Ostrava RoverOva Team taking part in the University Rover Challenge (URC). This annual competition hosted by the Mars Society takes place at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah, USA, which was chosen due to its geographic similarity to Mars. The area is mostly a barren desert and the soil has a chemical composition similar to that found on Mars. The main objective of the URC is to encourage students to develop their skills in robotics, enhance the state-of-the-art in rover technology, and work in multi-disciplinary teams with scientists and engineers collaborating together.
