Historic pumps for petrol and two stroke in the village of Molières in the Dordogne department of south west France.

These old petrol pumps and two stroke pumps are at the roadside in the small village of Molières in the Dordogne region of France. They mark a simper time when garages just provided motoring needs such as petrol (essence) and two stroke mix (deux temps). I cannot date these historic artefacts ( perhaps late 50s/60s?) but the price shown per litre was in Francs and nor Euros. France changed to the Euro on 1st January 2002 but they clearly pre-date that time. Caltex fuels and oils are still available in some parts of the world and the company is an almalgamation of Texaco and Chevron.
