Romanesque style
Romanesque style. Monastery of Santa Cecilia, near the famous mountains of Montserrat. The church is basically the same than the original built in the 10th century. It's an example of early Catalan Romanesque art. It has three apses, with Lombard monastery was founded between 942 and 945 by Abbot Cesari. The monastery was finally merged in 1539. Today its houses are a mountain refuge. Region of Bages, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
