The demand has therefore gradually become imperative for a package which will safely carry the fresh mushroom from grower to consumer. The following requirements of the trade must be met in any package. 1. A standard size, made of one piece, small enough to avoid generally the necessity of repacking by commission men and gro- cers. The one-pound box seems to be most universally in demand by grocers and private consumers. For hotels and large consum- ers, the three-pound box is preferred. The one-pound box is.
