Wayang kulit puppets on display in the crafts shop in the Sono Budoyo Museum in Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Traditional puppet shadow theatre known as wayang kulit is widespread on the islands of Java and Bali in Indonesia. Puppets for wayang kulit are made of buffalo leather. Each character has its own features and can be easily identified by spectators. Hanuman the Monkey King is a white figure pictured at the right.
