Thenadd the curry powder (in the propor-tion of one-half teaspoonful (level) toeach pound of dried beans) rubbed in-to a tablespoonful of butter and mix-ed with a few spoonfuls of hot salt and pepper to taste and cookslowly until the curry flavor is welldistributed through the beans.
