The Precept of Pharaoh Egypt 1613 Bartolomeo Bartolomeo Schedoni (sometimes Schedone) (1578 – 23 December 1615) was an Italian early Baroque painter from Modena. Museum, Italy. The painting would recall the Ospedale gli Esposti, that is the hospital for abandoned children, since the protagonist of the painting, Moses, suffers the same fate because of the order of the Pharaoh of Egypt Seti to throw in the Nile every male child born to the Hebrews.
