The 64-acre Ness Botanic Gardens on the Wirral peninsula is owned by the University of Liverpool. Originally develop by Arthur Bulley in the early 20th century, the gardens were presented to the University of Liverpool in 1948 by its founders daughter, Lois Bulley.
