A rare German jousting lance-head for use in the Scharfrennen Circa 1520 - 30. Of one piece, with tapering tubular socket pierced for a bolt, and short spike of stiff diamond section tapering to a point. Length 16 cm. Examples of lances with pointed heads of this type are preserved in the former Imperial armouries, Vienna.
