Village Place Crash Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana Image description: Crash Landing was a bar (at various times also a restaurant &/or disco dance club) in Metairie, Louisiana near the intersection of Causeway Boulevard & Interstate 10. It featured the body of a retired Lockheed Constellation aircraft, a novelty that made it a local landmark. It opened in 1973, and closed not long after this photo was taken in 1982.
