A thatching spar along the ridge of a roof, used in the thatching trade to help keep the roof in place


Thatching spars are made from split hazel wood and is 28 inches long, pointed at each end, the thatcher just twists it and bends in half, them pushes in to the thatch this lts keep the thatch in place, on the roof.
