The main return should be of the same size. To heat the two houses by steam, a boiler with the same size of grate will be needed. This would be rated at about twenty horsepower. In house A use one 2-inch flow pipe under the ridge and ten 1^-inch returns. About three should be upon each wall and the others under the middle bench. For house B use three 2-inch flow pipes, one on each plate and the other along the sides of the beds, or on the purlhi posts.
