Shops for surfers in Honolulu . O'ahu. Kevin, Blue Planet Surf employee, initially answered my telephone call inquiring about soft racks for an SUP my husband had already bought. The dealer we bought it from ran out of soft racks so we called around to a couple of places. On the telephone, Kevin informed me of potential issues with securing an SUP as large as my husband's and provided his recommendations. Because of the level of expertise that Kevin presented over the phone, we decided to buy the racks from Blue Planet Surf. In person, Kevin clearly explained the features and benefits of both kinds of soft rack options. We decided to go with his recommendation and purchased the pads and tie down straps. It seemed that his motivation for sharing his knowledge and expertise as a surfer went beyond making the sale--it was a sincere effort to educate customers and promote safety. Our purchase this time was small, but should we need surf gear or when in the market for another SUP or paddle, we will definitely think of and patronize Blue Planet Surf Ward because of such a positive experience with Kevin. We are small business owners ourselves and know the value of excellent customer service and great employees who represent the company in the highest light.
