All Saints Church, partly ruined since the English Civil War, in Pontefract, West Yorkshire


All Saints Church is situated close to Pontefract Castle. The Castle was a Royalist stronghold during the English Civil War (1641–1651). The church was severely damaged by canon fire. To this day it is partially ruined, with a 1960's addition within the ruins.
