Socialist art, Brothers Grave, Prins Boris garden, Sofia, Bulgaria, 1956
The monument was built in the capital's Liberty park (now: Boris Garden). It was designed by architect Evgeny Zidarov and Arch. Mikhail Milkov, in the author's team with the head of the sculptor Yordan Krachmarov, there are also sculptors Vladimir Tsvetkov and A. Atanasova-Milkova and artists A. Stamenov and L. Petrov. It was opened on June 2, 1956. The monument consists of a central high part and 2 low parts on the sides. Its main part is an obelisk with a height of 41 meters. A bronze sculpture of partisans and partisans is erected in front of it. On the sides of the obelisk there are bronze wreaths. In the foreground, the low parts on the sides have sculptural compositions. On the right, in the center of the group, there is a mother sending her son (a partisan) to the front. On the left, a worker, a peasant woman and an intellectual symbolize the unity of the people. There is a crypt covered with a granite slab and a bronze wreath.
