Its form suggests an earlierconstruction than 1756 and there is a possibility that itwas erected here by Jabez Macy or moved from a priorsituation but the records are silent as to either fact. It was provided for in the layout of Wescoe Acre; Lot sin 1078. Jethro Hussey owned the land east of the the attic of his house the Union Lodge of Free Masonsmet before 1792. In the west section are several inter-esting houses. On the south side a short distance westof Center is the ganibrel which was built by Silas Tad-dock about 1767. From 1791 to 1829 it was owned byWm. Barnard, and it was then conveyed to George Pad-dock whose descendants have since owned it. East of this, standing at an angle with the street, is alate lean to owned recently by Mrs. Judith Mitchell, andplaced on that lot by John Morris before 1762.
