The brightest stars in Gemini are Castor (Alpha Geminorum) and Pollux (Beta Geminorum), both just below centre. Castor is the bluer, uppermost of the pair, with white Pollux just below and left of it. The bright orange star at bottom right corner is Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis) in the constellation Orion, the hunter. At upper right is Capella (Alpha Aurigae) in Auriga, the charioteer. Capella is the sixth brightest star in the sky. The faint zodiacal constellation Cancer, the crab, is at centre left.
