Black Truffles are tuberous fungus that grows underground near tree roots in forests. Specially trained dogs are used to sniff out the truffles. Truffles are highly sort after across the globe by chefs. In 1999 a black truffle weighing pounds found in Croatia was sold at auction for US Dollars.
