City of Canterbury, England. Picturesque view of a Grade II listed building at number 18 Palace Street, on Canterbury’s King’s Mile. The historic Conquest House, at number 17 Palace Street is in the background. The Grade II* listed Conquest House and number 18 Palace Street are two of the Historic Buildings of Kent. Conquest House is thought to date from the Norman conquest but the exterior is likely to be 16th Century. The building was the meeting place for the four knights who murdered St Thomas Becket, at Canterbury Cathedral.
