Ardhanarīśvara stands in samabhanga on a low pedestal

Ardhanarīśvara, a form of both Shiva and Parviti, stands in samabhanga on a low pedestal. Its right side shows Shiva clad in a kavacha (armor), a tiger skin and an angavastra (shawl) draped over his elbow. In his upper right hand is the parashu (axe) and his lower right is in abhaya mudra. To his left is the green-complexioned Parviti, who holds the pasha (noose) in her upper left hand while her lower left is in lola hasta.
