Bouvier. A Belgian vari- ety, sent to this country by Van Mons, in 1834. Fruit medium size, obovate, inclining to turbinate. Skin clear yellow, sprin- kled with green- ish black dote, and heightened by a very brilliant red cheek. StaJk dark brown, an inch long, stout^ inserted with- out depression. Ca- lyx small, placed at the bottom of a deep round basin. Flesh yellowish- white, half buttery, melting, with a rich perfumed juice. First of October, and keeps some DiCKERMAN.
