Warrington, Cheshire England, UK, A K4 telephone box. Only 50 were ever made, and only 5 remain, all of which have grade 2 listed preservation orders. They were installed between 1930 and 1935 and built by Carron and Co in Falkirk, Scotland. They were a great idea, but very noisy for anyone using the phone inside the box, and the damp ruined the sticky stamps on reels inside the by Sir Charles Gilbert Scott only 5 out of the original 50 survive, This one in Warrington, others in in Bewdley (Worcestershire), Roos (East Yorkshire), Frodsham (Cheshire)
