Yorkshire UK; The 2012 Kettlewell annual Scarecrow festival, Upper Wharfdale, North Yorkshire Dales, UK

For two weeks, the Yorkshire village of Kettelwell comes to life with scarecrows old and new, including some rather familiar faces. Claimed to be the best festival in Britain. Since 1998, the Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival has been organised on behalf of St Mary’s Parish Church, Kettlewell Village Hall and the original beneficiary – the local school. The event was successfully repeated and, growing year by year, now attracts thousands of visitors over a nine day period in August.
