The Golden Gate Bridge has 11 toll lanes. Electronic tolling was completed in March 2013, so cars have no need to stop. Payment is by FasTrak toll tags or by Pay-By-Plate payments using images of license , south bound traffic to San Francisco uses 8 of the 11 toll lanes. This is adjusted according to the traffic flow. A view form the southern end of the bridge towards summer advection fog over the toll gates.
