Under a Gothic canopy rest the statuesof the couple whose love and misfortunes havebeen the theme of so many writers. In wanderingthrough the cemetery one comes upon the gravesof many famous authors, dramatists and composers,each marked by statue, bust or medallion. It isgood to see the loving care with which the Frenchpeople honor their men and women of genius.
