Backborrow, Cumbria, UK. 06th Dec, 2015. 500 hundred people including 48 Children had to be evacuated by Police and the Fire Service when the River Leven Broke its banks and flooded the Four Star hotel and Time Share apartments in Backbarrow this morning. Guests had to be rescued by the Police and the Fire and Rescue service using a ladder some wearing only underclothes. They have been bused away to can emergency rescue rest centre.
