After the feeding and siblings flopped over sated, the littlest wood stork looks like it did not get its fill.

After the feeding and siblings appear flopped over sated, but the littlest wood stork looks like it did not get its fill and is nibbling at Mom's beak. A Wood stork family can consume 448 pounds of fish in one breeding season. This is one reason that Wood Storks are an indicator species for the health of the everglades as wood stork will not breed if the environment won't support the fish they require. Being a long lived species, 30 years or so, missing a season will not be devastating, but a number of seasons would. The species has seen a revival in numbers and has been downlisted from Endangered to Threatened. This is a great trend for a marvelous and majestic species.
