Three megalithic crosses erected by an C18th blacksmith stand beside an Early Medieval incised cross-slab on St Finnan's Island, Loch Shiel.
Three megalithic crosses erected by an C18th blacksmith stand beside an Early Medieval incised cross-slab (R) in the graveyard on St Finnan's Isle, Loch Shiel. Possibly connected with Finian of Moville, an Irish saint who spent 20 years in Scotland during the C6th, the island has long been a burial ground of the MacDonalds & may be site of the SSPCK school where Alexander MacDonald taught in the C18th.
