Ruth Colvin Starrett McGuire (1893-1950), US plant pathologist. McGuire's research was on sugar cane diseases. She graduated in 1914 from Indiana University, obtaining a masters degree in 1916. She worked at the US Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Plant Industry from 1919 until around 1948. She was a member of the Entomological Society of America. Photographed at the USDA.
