Just off the promenade at Luc sur Mer, Normandy, the memorial to the 23rd Destroyer flotilla at Sword Beach on 6th June 1944 (Operation Overlord). Two of the ships were lost in this action or shortly afterwards, HMS Swift and the Norwegian destroyer HMNoS Svenner.
