John Grigor (1814-1886) was a practicing physician in Nairn and prominent public figure for 50 widely publicised the attractions of Nairn in the Highlands of Scotland as a health resort. The statue is the work of John Hutchinson and was first erected in May 1890 at the junction of Leopold Street and High Street.
