ZAGAN, Poland – Soldiers from Hammer Company, 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division fire their M-4 Carbine rifles from the prone position January 19, 2017. 1st Bn. 8th Inf. Regt. arrived in Poland earlier this month for a nine-month rotation to Eastern Europe. Next month the battalion will move from Poland to Romania where they will train with their Romanian partners as part of Atlantic Resolve. Atlantic Resolve is a led effort being conducted in Eastern Europe to demonstrate commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
