Dublin, Ireland, satellite image. Dublin is the capital city of the Republic of Ireland. It has a population of around half a million people. This is the northern part of the city. The Irish Sea is out of frame to the right. The large U-shaped stadium at bottom right is Croke Park, the largest stadium in Ireland, which hosts Gaelic games. Immediately below Croke Park is the Royal Canal, while the Tolka Rover runs to the bottom right corner. This image has one-metre resolution and was taken by the Ikonos satellite on 19th October 2002.
