This melon is grown extensively in Okla- homa, western Kan- sas and eastern Col- orado, It belongs to the citrons and can be used only for pre- serves or stock food. It is immensely pro- ductive. The melons grow to a large size, some of them weigh- ing as high as sixty or seventy pounds. The flesh is firm and solid, with only very few seeds.
