It isintended that the conductor in passing through the carshall extend the collector to passengers and that the\-drop their fares in the slot in the machine. The con-ductor then presses a lever and the fare passtrd througha pair of corrugated rubber rolls into a smaller recep-tacle into which all the fares go.
