A German Landsknecht sword, circa 1490/1500 Straight single-edged blade with a double-edged point and double fullers on both sides. S-shaped, curved quillons with octagonal, slightly tapering, broadened arms. Remains of the original grip, both ends backed with sheet brass. Fluted, slightly conical pommel, the rivetted finial with decorative sheet brass. Length cm.
