Smith is a Lansing, Mich. native. Smith is adopting MWD-Eddie as they both depart Okinawa. During their time attached to 3rd LE, the MWDs provided III Marine Expeditionary Force with unmatched deterrence, detection, and threat-engagement capabilities.
