
Slough, Berkshire, UK. 1st September, 2023. After 159 years the Herschel Arms pub in Park Street, Slough, Berkshire closed its doors yesterday for the final time. The inside of the pub has now been boarded up. The landlord of the Irish pub, Tom King, said on Facebook “I’ve been putting this off for over a week now but here goes. Thursday the 31st of August will be my last day in the Herschel. It will close first time since 1860, and 27 years and 6 months for me. It’s a common reason these days unfortunately an inability to agree on rent. Nobody’s fault really but a sad day. Sessions every Mond
