The statue in front of the McClay Library is called Eco and was created by the Breton artist Marc Didou. It is made of bronze and is tall. The piece is made in response to the artist's investigation of digital imaging techniques and represents the reflection of a head refracted in water and the sonic echo used in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
