Or the teacher might, on thepreceding day, give a few problems which would recall allof the work in liquid measure and use these problems forthe busy work for that day. This preparation would servejust as well. (c) Illustrative Lesson. The following will illustratehow a text-book lesson may be taken up:. i. One dollar is equal in value to — 2. One dollar is equal in value to 3. One half-dollar is equal in value to half-dollars,fourth-dollars.— fourth- dollars. A fourth-dollar is sometimes called a quarter, ora quarter of a dollar. 4. When ready for the lesson, the teacher shouldstate that before using their text-books a short review isto be held. She should bring to the class a dollar, a half-dollar and a quarter. Method.
