DEMONS - CATS A curious contract - Saint Cado offers the Devil a Cat, with the understanding that, in return, the Devil will build a bridge. The print does not tell the whole story: apparently, Saint Cado had tricked the Devil, who thought that he would receive, in return for his labours, a human soul. Woodengraving of 1855.
